A Little Help from Above
So...Would you say this is easier with H/H on Normal Mode or Hard Mode?
I just tried it on Hard Mode (which I'd been doing with all the others leading up to it) and got crushed by about the time I got to the gate of Shaemoor. I'm thinking since I can start from the Temple of Ages on this one that I might be able to get by with 4 level 15 Henchmen since it'd reduce the overall strength of the mobs. Then again, I'm not really sure how much of a power drop the henchmen would get from that themselves. At the moment, I'm playing an Imbagon (with Anthem of Weariness) and using Spiritway for my Heroes. Also have a Racway set up that's slightly better geared that I've been neglecting since they haven't been particularly effective in some of the earlier WiK quests on HM. |

When I did it, I went for normal mode. At least you won't get kicked out at 60% DP, which is quite easy to get in that mission.
The biggest problem is that you really need to be patient and lure out all the patrols in the city at the end of the mission. It's all too easy to get hit by several groups at the same time in that city, and that's recipe for disaster. Hey, at least it's an oppotunity to use some of those pumpkin cookies everyone is munching on since Halloween |

I would take a second human player (or more) if at all possible, to be blunt. That way you can both take heroes and everyone will be Level 20 in Normal Mode, and this quest will go a lot faster with an extra set of hands to carry the beacons.
Lots of people are still working through WiK. I would post a Party Search in Lion's Arch and grab some help. You can H/H this but it'll be tremendously less frustrating if you group up. |

Its not that hard... do the first part, wipe for easy rez near Zinn, go to shaemoor, pull carefully with a longbow, win. Ive done it twice now with the only heals being from a level 15 alesia with 1 or 2 wipes.

Did this using modified spiritway in NM. But instead of the sogm I used a ST defensive spirits RT. And ran HB/SY war. At the shaemor gate I just ran hog wild into it with no regard. HB and splinter laid them on down. never wiped

I did this this HM with H/H.
SoS (myself), Resto Necro, ST Rit, and a Tease or Panic Mesmer (Can't exactly remember). As for Henchies, I grabebd a Monk, a melee, an ele, and I forgot which other one I took. Just remember to pull and go slow, There's no time limit to the quest/mission and it never hurts to micro your heroes a little when needed. Summong Stones are you're friend, so, use them, you an usually buy some Mysterious ones for 300g/ea. |
